Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Emílio Vidal made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Diamantina EC's Valdo Mineiro got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6thth minute of the game Emílio Vidal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diamantina EC's Almir Loureiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Igor Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Loureiro having to interfere. Almir Loureiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emílio Vidal's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Dráuzio Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Sebastião Furtado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diamantina EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DGR the free kick. After a rather tough play, Diamantina EC's Sebastião Furtado got a free kick in the 15th minute. Gualter Moreira, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Diamantina EC's zone, Igor Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almir Loureiro came out of the goal and Igor Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Almir Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Almir Loureiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Trevisan's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When Sebastião Furtado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 40 minutes had been played. In the 40th minute, Sebastião Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualter Moreira's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Almir Loureiro on his right side and into the goal. 41 minutes into the game it was 0-2. Igor Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Almir Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Pernambucano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Igor Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the DGR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Trevisan couldn't finish the play. Almir Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Trevisan in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Igor Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DGR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Trevisan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Almir Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Vidal in the 67th minute of play. When Bernardo Correia fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DGR's protests and gave Bernardo Correia a yellow card for diving instead. 70 minutes into the game, one of DGR:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ramón Tande placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Igor Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belmiro Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Pernambucano in the 83rd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Marco Pernambucano notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of DGR's Belmiro Luz. Belmiro Luz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 99th minute, Igor Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Diamantina EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. DGR were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
