Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when João Paulo Furtado kicked off to start the match. If João Paulo Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilton Diniz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Aírton Macedo made a huge save. Holiod FC's Aírton Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Cerezo in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Artur Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holiod FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Leonardo Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Moreno in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Holiod FC booed when Carvoalzinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nando Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nando Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Artur Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Holiod FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Moreno couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Siqueira in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Ferreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 played minutes Carvoalzinho SS got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Prestes. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by João Paulo Furtado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Holiod FC's zone, João Paulo Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Macedo came out of the goal and João Paulo Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Holiod FC booed when Carvoalzinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Renato Cardozo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Luiz Fabiano Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 50 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carvoalzinho SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilian Teixeira was slow to take the kick. During this time Holiod FC's players had a chance to rest. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

José Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carvoalzinho SS's Leonardo Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Carvoalzinho SS from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Holiod FC booed when Carvoalzinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nando Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carvoalzinho SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilian Teixeira was slow to take the kick. During this time Holiod FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Wilian Teixeira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leonardo Ferreira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wilton Diniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aírton Macedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilton Diniz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 83 played minutes Holiod FC got a freekick which was hit by José Siqueira. Carvoalzinho SS were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Holiod FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Loureiro took the corner. The corner led Carvoalzinho SS's Alberto Loureiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Aírton Macedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Holiod FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
