If Basílio Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Válbson Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Raimundo Ceresso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walmyr Motta during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Amolar's Walmyr Motta got a free kick in the 8th minute. Basílio Pinho struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quebradense. Basílio Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Castro in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisão Sousa saved Quebradense from getting behind. After 25 minutes, Anselmo Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quebradense and the Amolar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Célio Marques sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Quebradense's Luisão Sousa didn't even have to move. Jairo Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisão Sousa having to make a save. In the 33rd minute of the match, Jairo Castro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luisão Sousa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Válbson Carioca in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque saved Amolar from getting behind. Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Válbson Carioca's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Raimundo Ceresso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Quebradense's Luisão Sousa. Luisão Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luisão Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Castro in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Ceresso in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisão Sousa saved Quebradense from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Jairo Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luisão Sousa was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Quebradense's zone, Raimundo Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Sousa came out of the goal and Raimundo Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Válbson Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quebradense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Válbson Carioca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Jairo Castro made a precise shot to the right of Luisão Sousa. Quebradense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Luisão Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Jairo Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Amolar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Amolar's Walmyr Motta got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Walmyr Motta off the ground. In the 75th match minute, Amolar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Motta to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Quebradense's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Nóbrega came free, but Luisão Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válbson Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Válbson Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebradense's supporters rose to their feet, but Válbson Carioca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
