Paulo Renato de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Jorge Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jeremias Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jorge Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Renato de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edinho Paulista hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Joacaba's Erasmo Trevisan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Renato de Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Toninho Moura didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-3 via right post in the game's 96th minute. Joacaba's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
