Hamílton Coutinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 30 minutes of play, Vikings FC's Delfim Coutinho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamílton Coutinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Leopoldo Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. After some careless play in the ASEC Mimosas B defense, Osvaldinho Dias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamílton Coutinho. The ASEC Mimosas B fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamílton Coutinho should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leopoldo Pontes to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of ASEC Mimosas B booed when Vikings FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Jardel Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ASEC Mimosas B's Hamílton Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save ASEC Mimosas B from getting a goal against them. Hamílton Coutinho made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Delfim Coutinho sent off a good shot on target. Délio Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Vikings FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Iuri Lopes hit a great ball. After 77 played minutes Vikings FC got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Lopes. Délio Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Borges in the 79th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Leopoldo Pontes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hamílton Coutinho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Delfim Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Vikings FC's Leopoldo Pontes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vikings FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
