Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tostão Recife kicked off to start the match. 9 minutes into the game, Didi Gaúcho lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Dalmo Bastos. Rick United F. C.'s Didi Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rick United F. C.'s Ademar Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Recife in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Didi Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rick United F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rick United F. C. booed when Blue Mountain State was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didi Gaúcho kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 17thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Blue Mountain State's keeper Dalmo Bastos was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Túlio Nóbrega during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Túlio Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Dalmo Bastos managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Rick United F. C.'s Didi Gaúcho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Renato Godoi struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ademar Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Mountain State. Didi Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Didi Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. After 34 played minutes Blue Mountain State got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Nóbrega. After a defensive mix-up in Rick United F. C.'s zone, Renato Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademar Santana came out of the goal and Renato Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rick United F. C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jeremias Perez hit a great ball. The supporters of Rick United F. C. booed when Blue Mountain State was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didi Gaúcho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Dalmo Bastos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Rick United F. C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jeremias Perez hit a great ball. Didi Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Didi Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Didi Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Gaúcho in the 54th minute of play forced Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Dalmo Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dalmo Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Perez hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Didi Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blue Mountain State's Dalmo Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Fernandez in the 77th minute of play. Rick United F. C.'s Didi Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didi Gaúcho in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo Bastos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeremias Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dalmo Bastos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Didi Gaúcho went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Didi Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Jeremias Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rick United F. C. fully deserved thier win.
