Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sebastião França got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes of play, Guaraxaim SC's André Luiz Pitta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doriva Hermes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sotea's Doriva Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Teixeira in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sotea's Donatello Brodel got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Anselmo Neto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doriva Hermes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tião Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Doriva Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sotea's Custódio Pena got a free kick in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Augusto Teixeira in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doriva Hermes saved Sotea from getting behind. Doriva Hermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guaraxaim SC! Nando Faustino was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Válter Leite capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Válter Leite really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Geraldo Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sotea's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nando Faustino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Sotea getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Aílton Couto hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 70th match minute, Guaraxaim SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Nando Faustino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião França in the 79th minute of the match. Válter Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Augusto Teixeira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doriva Hermes having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Guaraxaim SC's André Luiz Pitta got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 88 played minutes Guaraxaim SC got a freekick which was hit by Tião Quintal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Sebastião França managed to get in a good position for a shot.
