The supporters of Itakami RJ FC booed when Marmota SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Renato Matorin's late challenge caught a Itakami RJ FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Jacinto hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Marmota SS's goalkeeper Betão de Lara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Peres. In the 47th minute, Jacinto Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Garcia was the one to do the kick off. When Itakami RJ FC's Juarês Pena in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Marmota SS's zone, Juarês Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão de Lara came out of the goal and Juarês Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arthur Diniz hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Basílio Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Garcia in the 82nd minute of play. Vinícius Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Betão de Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itakami RJ FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Peres in the 94th minute of play forced Marmota SS's goalkeeper Betão de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marmota SS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
