Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jeferson Soeiro kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Durval Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novo Hamburgo RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manoel Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabiano Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Jeferson Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Nóbrega having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Novo Hamburgo RS's zone, Jeferson Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gino Nóbrega came out of the goal and Jeferson Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gino Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Soeiro in the 24th minute of play. Fabiano Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Manoel Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Paranaense in the 31st minute of the match. Tornado FC's Matheus de Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 minutes, Jailson de Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Novo Hamburgo RS and the Tornado FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Novo Hamburgo RS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jailson de Moraes hit a great ball. Tornado FC's Marcel Queiroz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Novo Hamburgo RS. Kléberson Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Manoel Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Durval Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Tornado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Queiroz came free, but Manoel Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gino Nóbrega made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Matheus de Brito sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute Jeferson Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Durval Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Novo Hamburgo RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durval Paranaense couldn't finish the play. Durval Paranaense had several of the Tornado FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Manoel Silveira as he didn't even see the shot coming. Durval Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Manoel Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Roberto Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Silveira having to interfere. Matheus de Brito struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Gino Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tornado FC. Zé Roberto Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 played minutes Tornado FC got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Dante. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tornado FC! The goalkeeper, Manoel Silveira, was totally fooled by Novo Hamburgo RS's Denílson Zanette, who 80 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Matheus de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Matheus de Brito came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Tornado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus de Brito couldn't finish the play. Manoel Silveira made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Zé Roberto Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Tornado FC booed when Novo Hamburgo RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Tornado FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Novo Hamburgo RS's performance. The match ended with a win for Novo Hamburgo RS.
