Tucunzeiro EC's João Adolfo Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luizinho Netto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guaraxaim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Adolfo Nunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luizinho Netto couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, Tucunzeiro EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Netto came free, but Amauri Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Adhemar Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
