In the 9th match minute, Guaraxaim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Rossi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 12 minutes, Cássio Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yucatan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yucatan FC's Joaquim Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Guaraxaim's Natanael Saraiva threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luizinho Netto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zé Carlos Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Pontes's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmílson Dias during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Guaraxaim got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Dias. In the 45th match minute, Yucatan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Rosado to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cássio Fernandes was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Igor Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guaraxaim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yucatan FC the free kick. During the 55th minute of the match Edmílson Dias completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Edmílson Dias a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 56th minute, Edmílson Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Guaraxaim getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Elano Rossi hit a great ball. Zé Carlos Gonçalves stood somewhat misplaced when Joaquim Pontes came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 61 minute. Oséias de Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natanael Saraiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oséias de Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. Oséias de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Natanael Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Yucatan FC's Joaquim Pontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Carlos Gonçalves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Guaraxaim's Elano Rossi got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute of the match, Cássio Fernandes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zé Carlos Gonçalves saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 88 minutes into the game, Olívio Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yucatan FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaraxaim the free kick. Olívio Velloso hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Oséias de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaraxaim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oséias de Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Pontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Yucatan FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
