The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Tande got free with Ernani Barros in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ernani Barros came out of the goal and Eusébio Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kiko Pirani in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernani Barros saved Quincunca AD from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Quincunca AD's zone, Eusébio Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Barros came out of the goal and Eusébio Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Paulo Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Rodriguinho Brasil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ernani Barros. The goal made the score 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hílton Severo made the kick off in the second half. Belmiro Berger stood somewhat misplaced when Hílton Severo came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 53 minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Hílton Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quincunca AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hílton Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Belmiro Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panati SS's Rodriguinho Brasil got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Rodriguinho Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Paulo Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Belmiro Berger made a huge save. Quincunca AD's Ernani Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Tande in the 89th minute of play. If Eusébio Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernani Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguinho Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Eusébio Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
