Ernesto Machado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With a little luck, Cachimbos's Ernesto Machado got control of the ball when Rafael da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Caco Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasconcellos AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Santos was the one to do the kick off. Rafael da Silveira scored 2-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Machado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Caco Lago sped through Cachimbos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ernesto Machado. Rafael da Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael da Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Caco Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Machado having to interfere. Ernesto Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Jorge Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cachimbos's Ernesto Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Lago in the 96th minute of play. Vasconcellos AD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
