Arejas FC's Eriberto Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredão Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. César Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Arejas FC got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Saraiva. Eriberto Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jacinto Koehler made a huge save. In the 17th minute Enio Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 19 in the game by Eriberto Cabral from a close distance when the talented Jacinto Koehler managed to make a qualified save. Maravilha FC's players were relieved. Rui Xavier hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Enio Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Koehler having to interfere. If Enio Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Eriberto Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arejas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. César Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Pedro Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maravilha FC's Alfredão Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 played minutes Arejas FC got a freekick which was hit by Josué Velasco. Edvaldo Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Maravilha FC's Evandro Queiroz tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Pedro Rosa was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Arejas FC's goalkeeper César Cerezo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredão Cruz. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, José Pedro Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maravilha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Pedro Rosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enio Maranhense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Koehler having to make a save. Edvaldo Saraiva struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jacinto Koehler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arejas FC. Edvaldo Saraiva's late challenge caught a Maravilha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edvaldo Saraiva helped the player get up and apologised. Edvaldo Saraiva hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Maravilha FC's Evandro Queiroz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arejas FC. Alfredão Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. César Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro Rosa in the 76th minute of play forced Arejas FC's goalkeeper César Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredão Cruz got free with César Cerezo in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enio Maranhense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Koehler having to make a save. In the 89th minute José Pedro Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliézer Cavalcante charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliézer Cavalcante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Arejas FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Eliézer Cavalcante hit a great ball. Alfredão Cruz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of César Cerezo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. César Cerezo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredão Cruz in the 95th minute. The Maravilha FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
