An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Freitas in the 23rd minute of play forced Campolide SS's goalkeeper Rodolfo Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Warnow AD's Gilberto Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodolfo Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Freitas in the 30th minute of the match. After 41 minutes, Róbson Bezerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Warnow AD and the Campolide SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Warnow AD got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Bezerra. After 43 played minutes Warnow AD got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Carvalho. After a rather tough play, Warnow AD's Gilberto Falcão got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilberto Falcão to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Vianna had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Alfredinho Carvalho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 1-0 came in the 89th minute when Alfredinho Carvalho all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Rodolfo Vianna. Elder Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elder Monteiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dadá Mello having to make a save.
