Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clóvis Romero started the match with the kick off. Juvenal Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Márcio Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clóvis Romero in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Abelardo Fantini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luzelia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pariry AD the free kick. The supporters of Pariry AD booed when Luzelia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Augusto Quadros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leopoldo de Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Pariry AD's zone, Juvenal Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo de Andrade came out of the goal and Juvenal Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Clóvis Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pariry AD's Leopoldo de Andrade got control of the ball when Augusto Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Paulo Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Márcio Tasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pariry AD. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juvenal Quintal made a kick off. In the 54th minute Clóvis Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, one of Pariry AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juvenal Quintal in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo de Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd minute, Juvenal Quintal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Luzelia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Márcio Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Quintal in the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Luzelia booed when Pariry AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo de Andrade having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Luzelia's Eurico Martins got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Marcel de Carvalho hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Luzelia had won after a very even match.
