The referee ignored Trigolandia's protests and gave Patrick Trigo a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Trigolandia got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Trigo. Valdemar Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Damião in the 21st minute of play. Benjamin Damião struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Valdemar Mello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trigolandia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Damião in the 26th minute of play forced Kleine Berlin Club's goalkeeper Valdemar Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kleine Berlin Club's Valdemar Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Damião in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Benedito Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Erik Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Benjamin Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Kleine Berlin Club's Severino Pombal threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulo José Vale, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kleine Berlin Club's Valdemar Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Damião in the 46th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Benjamin Damião made a precise shot to the right of Valdemar Mello. Kleine Berlin Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
