Eriberto Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Vaz in the 20th minute of the match. If Falcão Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fred Vaz to strike the kick off in the second half. Filipe Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr Teles having to interfere. With 55 minutes on the clock, Belchior de Amaral commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 57th minute, João Francisco Paraíba sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Botafogo MZRJ's Eriberto Braga didn't even have to move. Eriberto Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Vaz in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute Fred Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Borussia Xolfi had won after a very even match.
