In the 10th minute, Adalberto Koehler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adalberto Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Gilberto Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saudade's protests and gave Gilberto Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Saudade's Gilberto Nunes got a free kick in the 19th minute. Cássio Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Biertrinker FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Lima came free, but José Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Lima in the 26th minute of the match. José Bezerra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Richard Brodel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. José Bezerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bebeto Abraão in the 30th minute. Tomás Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Régis de Medeiros got free with José Bezerra in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Saudade's Régis de Medeiros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Bezerra. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. Cássio Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Barbosa having to interfere. José Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Lima in the 41st minute of play. Bebeto Abraão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Bezerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Saudade's Tiago Braga got a free kick in the 51st minute. Cássio Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Barbosa having to interfere. In the 55th minute Régis de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Richard Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Bezerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Brodel went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Cássio Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Tomás Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Brodel in the 89th minute of play forced Biertrinker FC's goalkeeper José Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Biertrinker FC defense, Bebeto Abraão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Bezerra. The Biertrinker FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Bezerra should have stopped the shot. Biertrinker FC's José Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Abraão in the 93rd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Bebeto Abraão notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Biertrinker FC's José Bezerra. José Bezerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Saudade fans cheered their team off the field, for while Biertrinker FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
