Wanderson Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington do Nascimento in the 12th minute of play forced Ladeira AD's goalkeeper Wanderson Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th match minute, Ladeira AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Coelho to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Washington do Nascimento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wanderson Cosme. Washington do Nascimento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Silvério Vieira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 29th minute. Caitau FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Arnaldo Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalmo Varela having to interfere. When Arnaldo Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ladeira AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Amaral couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute Benedito Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wanderson Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wanderson Cosme made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Silvério Vieira sent off a good shot on target. Ladeira AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Washington do Nascimento scored to the left of an out of position Wanderson Cosme, making the score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chicão Xavier made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Ladeira AD got a corner. Caitau FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Agnaldo Toscano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Sandro Mesquita got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-1. 54 minutes into the match. Adalmo Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Xavier in the 59th minute of play. Adalmo Varela came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Ladeira AD's Chicão Xavier. But to his dismay, Chicão Xavier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. If Arnaldo Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Silvério Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wanderson Cosme was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Silvério Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wanderson Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington do Nascimento in the 77th minute of play. When Sandro Mesquita fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ladeira AD's protests and gave Sandro Mesquita a yellow card for diving instead. Sandro Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Silvério Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caitau FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvério Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Washington do Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Wanderson Cosme. Ladeira AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Ladeira AD's Arnaldo Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adalmo Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chicão Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Ladeira AD's Wanderson Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington do Nascimento in the 96th minute of play. Caitau FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ladeira AD for a fine match.
