If Alan Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Feliz AD's Dário Cerezo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Freitas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Quiquara's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Dante came free, but Edgard Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Denílson Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Quiquara's zone, Tiago de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Freitas came out of the goal and Tiago de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quiquara's Edgard Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Quiquara from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute, Alan Cerezo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgílio Goiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Quiquara getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Luiz Fernando Queiroz hit a great ball. Edgard Freitas made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Delfim Dante sent off a good shot on target. Dário Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Freitas having to interfere. Delfim Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Edgard Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Edgard Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Feliz AD. When Feliz AD's Delfim Dante in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quiquara's goalie prevented a goal. Delfim Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Freitas having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 55th minute Alan Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgílio Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quiquara were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Feliz AD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Fernando Queiroz took the corner. Germano de Amaral made a great header on Quiquara's corner, it was just that Feliz AD's Virgílio Goiano managed to reach the ball for a save. 61 minutes into the match, Alan Cerezo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Virgílio Goiano, 1-2. Delfim Dante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Ribeiro in the 68th minute of the match. Feliz AD's Virgílio Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Cerezo in the 71st minute of play. In the 79th minute Delfim Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clóvis Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Walmyr Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Dante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Cerezo in the 91st minute of the match. With 93 minutes on the clock, Denílson Borges commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Feliz AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Quiquara. Luiz Fernando Queiroz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Virgílio Goiano. 1-3. Although Feliz AD had been in control for most of the match, Quiquara still came away with the win.
