Aruana AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrão Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Délio Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 16 played minutes Piato FC got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Melo. After 24 played minutes Piato FC got a freekick which was hit by Jefferson Vasconcelos. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano da Rocha during the 25th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrinho de Sena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Piato FC's Luís Guilherme Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedrinho de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Piato FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Coutinho came free, but Délio Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho de Sena in the 66th minute of play forced Piato FC's goalkeeper Délio Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
