Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sílvio Neves kicked off to start the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Naldo Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varjota EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Allan de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Prado in the 7th minute of play. Sílvio Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Castel's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Prado came free, but Allan de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Castel got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Alcântara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Lira in the 17th minute of play forced Varjota EC's goalkeeper Jefferson Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Paranaense in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Naldo Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute, Edvaldo dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Neves in the 44th minute of play. Duarte Paranaense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jefferson Breckenfeld made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adalberto Lira was the one to do the kick off. Jefferson Breckenfeld came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Castel's Duarte Paranaense. But to his dismay, Duarte Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 71st minute, Sílvio Neves fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Sílvio Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes, Eduardo Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castel and the Varjota EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Varjota EC booed when Castel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor da Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor da Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Varjota EC booed when Castel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Sandro Moura sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Castel's Allan de Amorim didn't even have to move. 89 minutes into the match, Castel's goalkeeper Allan de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Naldo Prado. In the 96th minute, Naldo Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Castel players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
