After a rather tough play, Quirinopolis SC's Frederico Araújo got a free kick in the 6th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Jandiritiua SC's Mauro Leal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alberto Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson do Nascimento having to interfere. Marcelinho Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jefferson do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Abraão in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jefferson do Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jefferson do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Abraão in the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Marcinho Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emílio Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Adelino Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim dos Santos hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Erasmo Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quirinopolis SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Saraiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Quirinopolis SC booed when Jandiritiua SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adelino Saraiva acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Albertino Freitas. Emílio Correia was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 36 minutes, Alberto Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jandiritiua SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 minutes of play, Jandiritiua SC's Marcelinho Prata made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jefferson do Nascimento was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the game, Jandiritiua SC's Marcelinho Prata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jefferson do Nascimento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 46th minute Marcelinho Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jefferson do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Saraiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Abraão during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alberto Abraão hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. A hard shot 56 in the game by Marcelinho Prata from a close distance when the talented Jefferson do Nascimento managed to make a qualified save. Quirinopolis SC's players were relieved. 58 minutes into the match, Jandiritiua SC's Alberto Abraão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson do Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, Jandiritiua SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Quirinopolis SC's Jefferson do Nascimento got control of the ball when Marcelinho Prata tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Abraão struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Jefferson do Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jandiritiua SC. Jefferson do Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Alberto Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jandiritiua SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
