Thanks to some nice moves José Augusto Mendes could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Rony Peixoto however easily saved by the left post. In the 12th minute, José Augusto Mendes made a precise shot to the right of Rony Peixoto. Galo MG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Iguitu getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. José Augusto Mendes hit a great ball. Aílton Gomes struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Perivaldo Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galo MG. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Gerber in the 24th minute of play forced Galo MG's goalkeeper Rony Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Paiva in the 26th minute of the match. Aílton Gomes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Perivaldo Netto having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Gerber in the 30th minute of play forced Galo MG's goalkeeper Rony Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Galo MG's Rony Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Gerber in the 31st minute of play. José Augusto Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Iguitu's Conrado Simões shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rony Peixoto but with some difficulty. Raúl Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Rony Peixoto made a huge save. Galo MG's Rony Peixoto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Galo MG from getting a goal against them. Rony Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raúl Eger in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Gerber in the 43rd minute of play forced Galo MG's goalkeeper Rony Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Augusto Mendes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 45th playminute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Aílton Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Perivaldo Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galo MG's Bruno Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rony Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Eger in the 65th minute of play. Galo MG's Rony Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Paiva in the 67th minute of play. Rony Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Gerber in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Ezequiel Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iguitu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 89 minutes, Cafu Trevisan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galo MG and the Iguitu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Cafu Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute of the match Sandrinho Ramos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rony Peixoto skillfully saved the ball. Iguitu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
