Soccer Stars FC's Hidalgo Riguero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Soccer Stars FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 6 minutes, Folke Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soccer Stars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Folke Blom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute Luisão Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidalgo Riguero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugênio de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Cauan Freire fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soccer Stars FC's protests and gave Cauan Freire a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Soccer Stars FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iguitu:s goal. Hidalgo Riguero had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Sandrinho Ramos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Sandrinho Ramos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Soccer Stars FC's Hidalgo Riguero. Hidalgo Riguero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Perivaldo Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Favoretto in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, João Carlos Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Folke Blom in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Perivaldo Netto saved Iguitu from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Folke Blom in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th match minute, Iguitu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. When Soccer Stars FC's Folke Blom in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Folke Blom was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Emil Novák kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Perivaldo Netto. That made the score 1-2 in the 52 minute of play. Folke Blom's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Perivaldo Netto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. João Carlos Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Netto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Mendes in the 59th minute of play forced Soccer Stars FC's goalkeeper Hidalgo Riguero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tales Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Perivaldo Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perivaldo Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Folke Blom's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. If Eugênio de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Tales Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soccer Stars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tales Valladares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Folke Blom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Soccer Stars FC booed when Iguitu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Folke Blom who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Perivaldo Netto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Iguitu's zone, Folke Blom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo Netto came out of the goal and Folke Blom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Iguitu booed when Soccer Stars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Folke Bloms short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Perivaldo Netto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Folke Blom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Soccer Stars FC played a much better game than Iguitu and deserved their victory. The Iguitu players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
