Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oswaldo Martins started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Jean Oliveira suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 2 minutes into the game, André Luís Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caite AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jiquirica the free kick. In the 3rd minute, André Luís Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Augusto Faustino's late challenge caught a Caite AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Augusto Faustino helped the player get up and apologised. André Luís Guedes got his second yellow card in the match during the 6th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. André Luís Guedes hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Jiquirica's Jefferson Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Valadares in the 8th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Jiquirica's Adriano Mangueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo Saldanha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Jiquirica's zone, Luiz Guilherme Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Matos came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Guilherme Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Matos having to interfere. If David de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Caite AD's Luiz Guilherme Valadares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Danilo Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Adriano Mangueira sent off a good shot on target. If Luiz Guilherme Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luiz Guilherme Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Guilherme Valadares made a kick off. Caite AD were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Jiquirica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristóvão Viana took the corner. Luiz Guilherme Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Matos having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jiquirica's zone, Luiz Guilherme Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Jiquirica's Jefferson Matos got control of the ball when Luiz Guilherme Valadares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Valadaress short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Jefferson Matos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. David de Castro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Caite AD were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
