Enrique Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Pacuja's Bernardo de Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernardo de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oswaldo Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gugu Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes in the game, Oswaldo Martins dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Enrique Mesquita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Matos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo de Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jefferson Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo de Amaral in the 52nd minute of the match. Gugu Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Martins in the 83rd minute of play. When Pedro Augusto Donato was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. A collision led to Pacuja getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Donato hit a great ball. Enrique Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jefferson Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Pacuja were the better team. Pacuja's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
