The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manoel Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ivo Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Machado came out of the goal and Hugo de Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernardinho Camargo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gualter Bittencourt. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. Elano Fonseca's late challenge caught a Xurupita Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elano Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. Elano Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Clevlandia SS defense, Renatinho Veloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualter Bittencourt. The Clevlandia SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualter Bittencourt should have stopped the shot. Michel Novaes lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Xurupita Futebol Clube a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leonel Mineiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Clevlandia SS's Gualter Bittencourt. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardinho Camargo made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Renatinho Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xurupita Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Ronaldo Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Renatinho Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Bittencourt having to interfere. A collision led to Clevlandia SS getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ronaldo Penha hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Veloso in the 67th minute of play forced Clevlandia SS's goalkeeper Gualter Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualter Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Clevlandia SS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ronaldo Penha hit a great ball. Bernardinho Camargo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gualter Bittencourt having to make a save. Gualter Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Xurupita Futebol Clube's Renatinho Veloso. But to his dismay, Renatinho Veloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 95 minutes into the match, Manoel Vaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivo Machado. Xurupita Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manoel Vaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1.
