In the 10th minute, Familia Vangola's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Décio Sá fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Familia Vangola's Michel Braga got control of the ball when Décio Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Vinícius Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Familia Vangola's Michel Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Costa in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes, Nelson da Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Familia Vangola and the Cafuta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Familia Vangola's Nelson da Rocha got a free kick in the 25th minute. Claudinei Cunha, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Cafuta booed when Familia Vangola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Décio Sá received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Michel Braga came out and tried to block the shot, but Décio Sá slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. Michel Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cafuta's Claudinei Cunha got a free kick in the 35th minute. Felippe Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luan Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Camargo in the 43rd minute of play forced Cafuta's goalkeeper Aírton Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luan Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Aírton Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telmo Bertassi to make the kick off. Michel Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Décio Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Décio Sá might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michel Braga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Décio Sá ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute, Décio Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dedê Cerezo's late challenge caught a Cafuta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dedê Cerezo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Dedê Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Décio Sá in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Telmo Bertassi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Michel Braga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cafuta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
