Tutoya's Oswaldo Alvarenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Tutoya from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Abelardo Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Cunha in the 14th minute of the match. Armandinho Arantes might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oswaldo Alvarenga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armandinho Arantes ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Tostão Netto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 22nd minute Dedé Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Oswaldo Alvarenga made a huge save. Tutoya's Oswaldo Alvarenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Tutoya from getting a goal against them. Os Galáticos's Alex de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Paraense in the 28th minute of play. Agnaldo Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Oswaldo Alvarenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Os Galáticos. 34 minutes into the match, Abelardo Pimenta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oswaldo Alvarenga, 1-0. Agnaldo Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Oswaldo Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abelardo Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Armandinho Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Os Galáticos's supporters rose to their feet, but Armandinho Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oswaldo Alvarenga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Os Galáticos's Armandinho Arantes in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Tutoya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oswaldo Alvarenga should have stopped the shot. Oswaldo Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armandinho Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Agnaldo Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Víktor Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex de Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Os Galáticos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
