Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nelsinho Saldanha started the match with the kick off. Umberto Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Seleção Joinvilense E.C's goalkeeper Tadeu Neiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedé Trigo. In the 9th minute of the match Alfredinho Goiano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Umberto Baiano skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Saldanha in the 22nd minute of play forced Frial's goalkeeper Umberto Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeu Neiva made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Dedé Trigo sent off a good shot on target. Elano Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Neiva having to interfere. When Elder Berger came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Seleção Joinvilense E.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Berger couldn't finish the play. Frédson Varela's late challenge caught a Seleção Joinvilense E.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frédson Varela helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Frial's Frédson Varela got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of Seleção Joinvilense E.C booed when Frial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Elder Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seleção Joinvilense E.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elder Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nelsinho Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Dedé Trigo struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Tadeu Neiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frial. Elder Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 66 minutes, Sílvio Luís Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frial and the Seleção Joinvilense E.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes Frial got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Novaes. After having played for 68 minutes, Elder Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seleção Joinvilense E.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elder Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Seleção Joinvilense E.C's Nelsinho Saldanha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Umberto Baiano. That made the score 1-1 after 69 minutes of play. Umberto Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelsinho Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Frial's goalkeeper Umberto Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelsinho Saldanha. In the 84th minute, Elder Berger made a precise shot to the right of Umberto Baiano. Frial's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice moves Elder Berger could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Umberto Baiano however easily saved by the left post. In the 95th minute, Elder Berger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
