Deixa pra lá booed when Ararapari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Henrique Negri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogério Rocha skillfully saved the ball. Eliseu Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Terra in the 9th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ararapari's zone, Paulo Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério Rocha came out of the goal and Paulo Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aníbal Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Rocha having to interfere. If Paulo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Pedro de Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Eliseu Salles made a huge save. Almir Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogério Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Arantes in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match Diego Perez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eliseu Salles skillfully saved the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ah! Deixa pra lá's goalkeeper Eliseu Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ah! Deixa pra lá's Jerônimo Pinho got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Ararapari were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Ah! Deixa pra lá's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fábio Corrêa took the corner. The corner ended in Fábio Corrêa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ah! Deixa pra lá's Eliseu Salles did a great save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Waldemar Simão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ah! Deixa pra lá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ararapari the free kick. A collision led to Ah! Deixa pra lá getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Waldemar Simão hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Henrique Negri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ah! Deixa pra lá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ararapari the free kick. Ah! Deixa pra lá's Eliseu Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro de Toledo in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ah! Deixa pra lá's Jerônimo Pinho got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Aníbal Arantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Rogério Rocha made a huge save. Ararapari's Rogério Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Ararapari from getting a goal against them. If Paulo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Almir Terra ran back to his position shaking his head. Almir Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Salles having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ah! Deixa pra lá's Paulo Cunha got a free kick in the 98th minute. Ararapari's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
