The audience was convinced that Richard Motta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Rocha was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. With a little luck, Escadão FC's Alessandro Silveira got control of the ball when José Pedro de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rogério Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Rosa in the 13th minute of the match. Escadão FC's Alessandro Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Escadão FC from getting a goal against them. After 16 played minutes Escadão FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro Vaz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Motta in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rogério Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Ararapari's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Carioca came free, but Rogério Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Lino Gomes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Escadão FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, Escadão FC's Reginaldo Botelho got a free kick in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Almir Terra to strike the kick off in the second half. Rogério Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Motta's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. With his leg Rogério Rocha managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Escadão FC's Richard Motta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 58th minute, Almir Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ararapari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 62nd match minute, Escadão FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Pedro Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Marco Carioca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Rogério Rocha made a huge save. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Richard Motta sped through Ararapari's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rogério Rocha. Marco Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Rocha having to interfere. Almir Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Marco Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ararapari booed when Escadão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alessandro Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldão Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Ararapari fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Escadão FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
