Falcão do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Denílson Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Falcão do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Tony da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Itapare's Tiaguinho Severo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Itapare's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Raimundo Vander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony da Costa. Itapare's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Vander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 78 minutes into the match, Itapare's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Vander came free, but Tony da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Falcão do Nascimento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Tony da Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute Raimundo Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caiabu's Falcão do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Washington Valle's late challenge caught a Caiabu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Washington Valle helped the player get up and apologised. After 87 played minutes Itapare got a freekick which was hit by Washington Valle. Tony da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Vander in the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Fabiano Mumbach was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caiabu the free kick. Fabiano Mumbach kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Serginho Paraibano, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tiaguinho Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute.
