After a defensive mix-up in Pirainha's zone, Luiz Eduardo Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelsinho Penha came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André de Queiroz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nelsinho Penha came out and tried to block the shot, but André de Queiroz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André de Queiroz in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelsinho Penha saved Pirainha from getting behind. In the 23rd match minute, Pirainha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Gomes to maneuver through the defense. André de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Eduardo Motta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Nelsinho Penha made a huge save. When Enrique Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pirainha's protests and gave Enrique Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Pirainha got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Cruz. If André de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelsinho Penha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but André de Queiroz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. If Pedro Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dário Maia during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dário Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André de Queiroz to make the kick off. Nelsinho Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur Cerezo's late challenge caught a Badalo SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arthur Cerezo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pirainha's Arthur Cerezo got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Pirainha's goal looked a bit too open when André de Queiroz came free, but Nelsinho Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luiz Eduardo Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelsinho Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André de Queiroz in the 59th minute of play. André de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Nelsinho Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Luiz Eduardo Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Pedro Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Pirainha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Régis Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fábio Vale made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Régis Aguiar sent off a good shot on target. After 78 minutes of play Badalo SS's Dário Maia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Badalo SS's Dário Maia got a free kick in the 79th minute. Nelsinho Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Luiz Fábio Vale made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Régis Aguiar sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Régis Aguiar sped through Badalo SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Fábio Vale. The supporters of Badalo SS booed when Pirainha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 minutes of play Pirainha's Arthur Cerezo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Pirainha getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Arthur Cerezo hit a great ball.
