Michel Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rubens Penha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Fernando Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salgidinho's Rubens Penha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir Britto during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Los Illuminados booed when Salgidinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Michel Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Illuminados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdir Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Fernando Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
