Vágner Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Moura in the 4th minute of the match. Michel Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Passos having to interfere. Luís Paulo Nogueira hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 14th minute, when Simplicio EC's Doni Falcão after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Edgard Nascimento in Cajuapara FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. In the 15th minute, Cássio Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cajuapara FC's Edgard Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robinho Soares in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Soares in the 19th minute of play forced Cajuapara FC's goalkeeper Edgard Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vágner Passos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. Gabriel Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Vágner Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Michel Moura came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Cajuapara FC fans jumped to their feet. Gabriel Mendes scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vágner Passos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vágner Passos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel Moura's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Vágner Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Mendes in the 35th minute of play. When Gabriel Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Cajuapara FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Mendes couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Robinho Soares made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Simplicio EC's goalkeeper Vágner Passos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Mendes. Michel Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Passos having to interfere.
