Russano SC's Dé de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Pirani in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Russano SC's goalkeeper Dé de Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar de Mendonça. After 19 minutes, Manoel Munhoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Russano SC and the Bobo players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Pirani in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé de Lima saved Russano SC from getting behind. In the 40th minute Jailson Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magno Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelson Arruda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dé de Lima. Russano SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson Cardozo made a kick off. Dé de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute.
