João Paulo Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Souto having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Waldir Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agenor Magalhães in the 9th minute of play forced Iron City F.C's goalkeeper Luizão Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agenor Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, João Paulo Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC High Voltage's supporters rose to their feet, but João Paulo Tepedino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizão Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, João Paulo Tepedino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luizão Souto. Iron City F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Paulo Tepedino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Betão Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Percy Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Skark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betão Sena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Skark having to make a save. In the 40th minute Agenor Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Agenor Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Paulo Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Iron City F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Agenor Magalhães came free, but Luizão Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Agenor Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Luizão Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Agenor Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the FC High Voltage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agenor Magalhães couldn't finish the play. After 60 minutes, Pedro Luís Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iron City F.C and the FC High Voltage players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute Agenor Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizão Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Paulo Tepedino's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Luizão Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Paulo Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FC High Voltage fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when FC High Voltage's Agenor Magalhães looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iron City F.C's goalkeeper Luizão Souto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Waldir Meireles's late challenge caught a FC High Voltage's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldir Meireles helped the player get up and apologised. Waldir Meireles hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Iron City F.C's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Tepedino came free, but Luizão Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Agenor Magalhães made a precise shot to the right of Luizão Souto. Iron City F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Luizão Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Paulo Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iron City F.C's Luizão Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Tepedino in the 90th minute of play. Agenor Magalhães might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luizão Souto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agenor Magalhães ran back to his position shaking his head. There was no doubt that FC High Voltage were the better team. FC High Voltage's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
