In the 28th match minute, Currais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Dante to maneuver through the defense. The referee showed Belmiro Freire the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Currais got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Freire. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Duarte Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Montenegro in the 57th minute of the match. Teodoro Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Soeiro having to interfere. Walmyr Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Francisco Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Teodoro Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Walmyr Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Ivagaci EC were victorious despite being under pressure from Currais for much of the match.
