In the 14th match minute, Felicidale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Xandão E.C's Dinei Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Damião in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Xandão E.C's goal looked a bit too open when David Damião came free, but Dinei Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Jacinto Mumbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Felicidale's Vladimir Massa got control of the ball when Rodolfo Guedes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dinei Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Damião in the 27th minute of play. Dinei Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Damião in the 40th minute of the match. Felicidale's Vladimir Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Felicidale from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Damião made a kick off. Vladimir Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Guedes went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 66 minutes, David Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Felicidale's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silas Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silas Rezende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Felicidale:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Xandão E.C:s goal. Mateus Mumbach charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateus Mumbach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Xandão E.C getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Mateus Mumbach hit a great ball. Dinei Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Guedes in the 80th minute of play forced Felicidale's goalkeeper Vladimir Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Rodolfo Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Vladimir Massa. Felicidale's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Felicidale's Vladimir Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Guedes in the 91st minute of play. If Rodolfo Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
