Montanha EC's Felippe Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo José Vander in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Vander in the 4th minute of play forced Montanha EC's goalkeeper Felippe Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo José Vander during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Paulo José Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ismael dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The tension between the Abortados FC and the Montanha EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Abortados FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Eduardo Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Gaúcho having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Jailson Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felippe Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Rosa in the 36th minute of play. When Haroldo Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montanha EC's protests and gave Haroldo Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Montanha EC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Haroldo Saraiva hit a great ball. Felippe Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo José Vander in the 38th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Rosa in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felippe Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ismael dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Brasil having to interfere. If Paulo José Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ismael dos Santos made a kick off. If Eduardo Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Rosa in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felippe Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Montanha EC's Felippe Gaúcho got control of the ball when Paulo José Vander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Rosa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Abortados FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 65 minutes into the match, Paulo José Vander notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Montanha EC's Felippe Gaúcho. Felippe Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felippe Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Rosa in the 69th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo José Vander got free with Felippe Gaúcho in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Wiliam Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montanha EC's protests and gave Wiliam Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. When Eduardo Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Abortados FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Rosa couldn't finish the play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 76th minute, but Felippe Gaúcho got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Montanha EC hanging dry this time. If Eduardo Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Eduardo Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Paulo José Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abortados FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo José Vander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felippe Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felippe Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Felippe Gaúcho was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Eduardo Rosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eduardo Rosa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Abortados FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
