Léo Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Léo Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 8 minutes into the game, Agenor Hames was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caxanga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanacre AD the free kick. Agenor Hames hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Álvaro Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lanacre AD's zone, Álvaro Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Matos came out of the goal and Álvaro Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adalberto Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Emílio do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Caxanga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Hamílton de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Emílio do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton de Almeida in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Lanacre AD getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Léo Albuquerque hit a great ball. Roger Matos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Arthur Lucas. 33 minutes into the match, Lanacre AD's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Pena came free, but Roger Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Álvaro Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Álvaro Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Lauro Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Álvaro Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Pena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roger Matos came out and tried to block the shot, but Álvaro Pena slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hamílton de Almeida made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Hamílton de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lanacre AD and the Caxanga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Lanacre AD got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton de Almeida. In the 59th minute, Hamílton de Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emílio do Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 63rd minute, Anselmo do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adalberto Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio do Nascimento having to interfere. With his leg Emílio do Nascimento managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Lanacre AD's Hamílton de Almeida fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 80th minute, Hamílton de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Pena in the 87th minute of play forced Lanacre AD's goalkeeper Roger Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute Álvaro Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Roger Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
