Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Caxanga FC's Álvaro Pena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emílio do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Soeiro in the 3rd minute of play. If João Francisco Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Caxanga FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zé Roberto Soeiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 7 minutes into the match, Caxanga FC's goalkeeper Emílio do Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Francisco Borges. Emílio do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Soeiro in the 11th minute of play. If Álvaro Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Zé Roberto Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Francisco Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Emílio do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22nd play minutes Álvaro Pena shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Lúcio Paranaense and just under the crossbar into goal. 25 minutes into the match, Marala FC's João Francisco Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emílio do Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zé Roberto Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Álvaro Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Paranaense having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Marcelinho de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caxanga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelinho de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lauro Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelinho de Queiroz scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lúcio Paranaense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Marala FC booed when Caxanga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelinho de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Marala FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Caxanga FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Roberto Soeiro was the one to do the kick off. Emílio do Nascimento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Francisco Borges went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Soeiro in the 56th minute of play forced Caxanga FC's goalkeeper Emílio do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Francisco Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio do Nascimento having to interfere. Serginho Vinhas charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serginho Vinhas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lúcio Paranaense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Álvaro Pena's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Lúcio Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Pena in the 70th minute of play. Emílio do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Soeiro in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Marala FC's Zé Roberto Soeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emílio do Nascimento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 86 minutes into the match, Caxanga FC's Álvaro Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lúcio Paranaense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Marala FC's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Pena came free, but Lúcio Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Oliveira during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Álvaro Pena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lúcio Paranaense having to make a save. Lúcio Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Marala FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
