Claudinei Matos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ulysses Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Nevez's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luiz Fabiano Magalhães 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Tostão Faustino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tostão Faustino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Magalhães in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Charitas's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo de Queiroz came free, but Claudinei Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Nevez's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luiz Fabiano Magalhães fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cássio Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Tostão Faustino made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fabiano Magalhães's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tostão Faustino was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Luiz Fabiano Magalhães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tostão Faustino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the last second Tostão Faustino throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luiz Fabiano Magalhães in the 42ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After having played for 44 minutes, Cássio Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo de Queiroz to strike the kick off in the second half. When Luiz Fabiano Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Charitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Cássio Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tostão Faustino having to interfere. Tostão Faustino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Luiz Fabiano Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Faustino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cássio Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 73 minutes of play, Charitas's Luiz Fabiano Magalhães made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tostão Faustino was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Aguiar in the 76th minute of play forced Nevez's goalkeeper Tostão Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charitas's Cássio Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fabiano Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tostão Faustino having to interfere. Tostão Faustino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Prado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nevez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charitas the free kick. The supporters of Charitas booed when Nevez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tostão Faustino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Magalhães in the 93rd minute of play. Charitas's Claudinei Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo de Queiroz in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Charitas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
