Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Agenor Teles started the match with the kick off. When Adolfo Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Várzea Memo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Pimenta couldn't finish the play. Agenor Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Juninho Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Adolfo Pimenta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Juninho Braga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ediberto de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Vianna having to interfere. Juninho Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Pimenta in the 19th minute. A collision led to Várzea Memo getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Clemente Gaúcho hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Luciano Vargas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luciano Vianna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luiz Fábio Corrêa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juninho Braga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Venceslau SC's Juninho Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Corrêa in the 30th minute of play. Juninho Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agenor Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agenor Teles in the 36th minute of play forced Venceslau SC's goalkeeper Juninho Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agenor Teles might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juninho Braga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agenor Teles ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42ndth minute of the game Ediberto de Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Várzea Memo's Luciano Vianna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

55 minutes into the match, Adolfo Pimenta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juninho Braga. Venceslau SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Pimenta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. A collision led to Venceslau SC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Vivaldo Lago hit a great ball. Várzea Memo's Adolfo Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Pimenta in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juninho Braga saved Venceslau SC from getting behind. Juninho Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agenor Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juninho Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agenor Teles in the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of Várzea Memo booed when Venceslau SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agenor Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juninho Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agenor Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venceslau SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! In the 88th minute Adolfo Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juninho Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agenor Teles in the 92nd minute of play. Agenor Teles scored 4-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juninho Braga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venceslau SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Várzea Memo.
