With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Guilherme Guimarães in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro da Fonseca saved Terreiro SS from getting behind. Artur Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Quadros having to interfere. 19 minutes in the game, Erasmo Batista fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cristóvão Quadros having to interfere. Ramiro da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Guerra in the 24th minute of the match. Abelardo Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro da Fonseca having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Belmiro Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Guerra struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Ramiro da Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luzitania SC. In the 35th minute, Alexsandro Montenegro had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 35 minutes into the game, Olavo de Mendonça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Terreiro SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luzitania SC the free kick. Olavo de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Abelardo Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ramiro da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Terreiro SS's goalkeeper Ramiro da Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Abelardo Guerra made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Freitas in the 56th minute of play forced Luzitania SC's goalkeeper Cristóvão Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Abelardo Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Ramiro da Fonseca made a huge save. If Erasmo Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Artur Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terreiro SS's Donatello Lima couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Luzitania SC. Abelardo Guerras short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Ramiro da Fonseca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 89th minute Artur Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristóvão Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donatello Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Donatello Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristóvão Quadros. Luzitania SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donatello Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Luzitania SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Terreiro SS.
