The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Laranja Mecânica F.C's zone, Ian Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Faustino came out of the goal and Ian Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bernardo Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guilherme Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Pontes in the 13th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Bernardo Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laranja Mecânica F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Pontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guilherme Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elia Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Ceresso having to interfere. Guilherme Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Leme in the 23rd minute of play. If Bernardo Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Bernardo Pontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laranja Mecânica F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Aristides players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Laranja Mecânica F.C were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Pontes was the one to do the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Saldanha came free, but Tony Faustino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Pontess short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Guilherme Ceresso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Aristides's zone, Murilo Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Ceresso came out of the goal and Murilo Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Carlos Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica F.C booed when Aristides was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bernardo Pontes came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Laranja Mecânica F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Pontes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Pontes in the 78th minute of play forced Aristides's goalkeeper Guilherme Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
