Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Benedito Paraibano started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Luiz Fernando Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Célio Goiano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nuno Cardozo. Araguana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dagoberto Quintal in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Cardozo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute Benedito Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dagoberto Quintal spun around in front of the goal 14 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Araguana's goal. After a defensive mix-up in Araguana's zone, Dagoberto Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Cardozo came out of the goal and Dagoberto Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dagoberto Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Araguana defense, Dito Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nuno Cardozo. The Araguana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuno Cardozo should have stopped the shot. If Dagoberto Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Cardozo having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Araguana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Dito Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Dagoberto Quintal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nuno Cardozo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nuno Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Miguel Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Araguana getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Miguel Neiva hit a great ball. Nuno Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Suez's Walmir Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Paraibano in the 44th minute of play. Dito Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Cardozo having to interfere. Nuno Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Araguana players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Suez were winning 0-2.

Dagoberto Quintal struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Nuno Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suez. Dagoberto Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Nuno Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Araguana getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Miguel Neiva hit a great ball. Nuno Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Dito Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Cardozo having to interfere. Dagoberto Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Araguana's Nuno Cardozo got control of the ball when Dito Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubinho Correia in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walmir Paiva saved Suez from getting behind. A collision led to Suez getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Sebastião da Cunha hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Araguana's Sílvio Luiz Viana broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nuno Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Quintal in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Sebastião Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Araguana fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Suez were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
